The Kamloops Broncos are looking to buck the trend and get in the win column with a victory on Saturday as they host the Vancouver Island Raiders.

Both squads are winless two weeks into the B.C. Football Conference season.

"This game is crucial for both teams," Kamloops head coach Braden Vankoughnett said in a news release. "We've been working hard to address the areas that need improvement. Our players are motivated and ready to give it their all."

In the release Vankoughnett said his team has shown resilience in their first two games and, despite tough losses, the Broncos have demonstrated solid defensive plays.

He said the team is focused on refining their offensive strategies and performances from key players, such as quarterback Clark Snider, wide receiver Colton Meikle and Cam Grzegorczyk, will be be crucial in leading the team to their first win.

Gates open at 5 p.m. and kickoff is set for 6 p.m.

Tickets for the highly anticipated are available at Hillside StadiumĀ and online. Fans are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy the pre-game festivities as well as food trucks and a beer garden on site.
